Hello everyone, a friend of ours, María Rangel Cardenas, has launched her new website. With a deep love for her Catholic Faith, María has enjoyed drawing since she was a child. Her vocation as an artist has evolved over the years. Currently, she works from her home art studio in Southern California, with a renewed hope to capture the beauty of God and of nature. . . to help weary hearts find enduring joy.
Originally from Anaheim, California, María Rangel Cardenas graduated from Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California, with a B.A. in Liberal Arts (Great Books Program—class of ‘99). She also earned a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, California (class of 2005).
María has grown in her insight and technique throughout her studies and has also gained much inspiration from a semester abroad at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy.
María works as a professional fine artist from her home art studio–specializing in drawing, painting, and surface pattern design. A homeschooling, stay-at-home mom, María lives in San Bernardino County in Southern California with her beloved husband Rob and their four children.
Ranging from plein air landscapes, narrative religious compositions or still life, María Rangel Cardenas’ work strives to capture the beauty of God and of nature—helping weary hearts find enduring joy.
